Thanks to our partners MIK Energy, we now have solar panels installed to power our guesthouse. This is the most complex and advanced part of our project. The solar panels will provide solar power for our lighting, phone and tablet charging and for our well and water system. Big News! MIK Energy is our solar partner
We're delighted to announced that MIK Energy is our partner providing the solar installations that will power our guesthouse. MIK Energy Ltd is a Freetown based company. We chose them for their expertise, professionalism and because they share our values. they have worked on community projects in rural areas as well as big city developments. The solar installation will provide power for lights and to charge up mobile phones and tablets. It will also power a pump to get water

Reaching the Roof
Our guesthouse is turning out just we'd planned,, and now we're almost ready to put the roof on. Thanks to the hard work from the villagers, the walls have gone up fast. We've dug a well, and it's being lined with tiles. And we've put up reinforced pillars for the water tank that will supply our guesthouse. Now we're doing one of the most difficult parts of the building. We're getting the solar power equipment we'll need to pump the water into the guesthouse and charge up lig

We start to build Our Dream
Such a big day for us! So much hard work and so many hopes have gone into getting to here. We started building our guesthouse on 25 January 2026. Everyone from the village and volunteers from neighbouring communities came to dig out the foundations, lay the stones, bring the mudbricks on the special site we had chosen and cleared.
